Confidentiality can arise from circumstances alone or by agreement in contract. This meeting will consider the conflict between ‘overriding duty’ and confidentiality as well as privilege.

This meeting will consider the conflict between ‘overriding duty’ and confidentiality as well as privilege.

Paul England, Solicitor at Taylor Wessing and Secretary of The Academy of Experts, will lead a panel which will introduce the Fact Sheet and discuss the implications for Experts and Mediators.

  • Paul is a senior associate and senior professional support lawyer in the Taylor Wessin IP/IT group, specialising in patents.
  • His specialism is UK and multi-jurisdictional patent litigation. Paul advises, publishes and speaks on this subject regularly.
  • In particular, Paul is advising clients on the Unified Patent Court (UPC) and leads the Taylor Wessing UPC taskforce.
  • He is currently preparing a practitioner's Guide to the UPC to be published in 2017.
